Florida residents who are fans of the show 'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta" have probably heard the news about the star of the show Joseline Hernandez's pregnancy. She claims that co-star Stevie J is the father of her unborn child, but there are many skeptics who question the child's paternity. One of those is Stevie J himself.
Though he has doubts that he is the father of Hernandez's baby, Stevie J has reportedly agreed to settle the issue by taking a DNA test. It has been reported that Stevie J will take further actions if the test proves that he is a new father. Stevie J reportedly wants primary custody of the child as well as child support from Hernandez.
According to reports, Stevie J's plans to seek primary custody stem from his concerns about the way that Hernandez will parent her child. Stevie J is worried that Hernandez will be an unfit mother who will prevent him from seeing his child. Stevie J has also accused Hernandez of abusing drugs while she was pregnant.
A father who is not married to his child's mother should establish paternity as soon as possible. Once paternity is established, a father can seek custody or visitation rights of his child and provide health insurance for the child. If a mother is attempting to keep a father away from his child, an attorney may be able to represent the father in a paternity hearing and a child custody petition. An attorney may also help a father to make sure that the court has all of the relevant information that it needs to calculate an appropriate child support order.
